• Check Car Fitness before Exporting

    If you soon have to export cars outside of the Russian Federation, then you first have to prepare a number of documents, and then go through the checkout procedure in MREO.

    When you make a car for export from the country, you need to have with you:

    1. your country's internal passport (or some other document proving your identity);

    2. The contract for the sale of cars in triplicate (one for the Russian MREO employees, the second for the traffic police of your country, and the third remains for you);

    3. a photocopy of the above-mentioned contract of sale (just in case);

    4. vehicle passport (PTS) in which you must be recorded by the owner of the car. You can enter your surname yourself, but both you and the seller must subscribe to the data sheet;

    5. two or three copies of the TCP (when exporting cars from Russia at customs they are often taken);

    6. certificate of registration of the car.

    Having on hands this set of documents, sit down in the acquired car and go to make an appointment to the nearest traffic police MREO.

    In many Russian cities, admission to public institutions is carried out using terminals that form an electronic queue of visitors. Reception tickets begin to be issued from seven in the morning and end rather quickly, so it makes sense to arrive early in Lahore auction.

    When you get an appointment with the inspector, tell him that you want to remove the vehicle from the register for export outside the Russian Federation, and give the following documents: your passport, vehicle registration certificate (plus photocopy), certificate of registration of the vehicle, purchase agreement of the vehicle ( plus photocopy). All these papers will be required by the employee in order to properly complete your de-registration application and print out a receipt for payment of the fee. Of course, after that all documents will be returned to you.

    When you pay the fee, you will have to go to the vehicle inspection site. When you meet with the inspector on duty, hand him the TCP and an application for deregistration - he will conduct the required inspection of the car you bought (in particular, check the engine and body numbers) and put all the necessary marks in the application.

    After taking the documents from the inspector, go back to the traffic police building and park the car in the parking lot. Remove numbers from it and wipe - all signs on the plates should be clearly visible. After that, go to the main building of MREO and give the necessary employee all the documents and government signs of the car (although the procedure may vary somewhat in different departments of the traffic police).

    Soon you will be given a ready certificate of registration (already with your name), transit numbers for exporting cars from Russia and a document certifying your identity.

    Now you just have to buy transit auto insurance for travel through the territory of Russia. However, before crossing the border, you will have to purchase one more such insurance - already for your country, since the Russian on its territory will be invalid.
